Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Scoreboard (“the app”). By installing or using it you accept them. If you do not accept them, delete the app.
Who provides the app
Scoreboard is published by an independent developer based in Sweden (“we”, “us”). Contact: scoreboardapp@outlook.com.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source of the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
The first game is free
Every score pad is available from the moment you install the app. Once you have finished your first game, starting a new one requires a purchase. Games you have already recorded, your player list and your statistics remain readable whether or not you buy.
What you can buy
Scoreboard offers a one-time purchase and, in some regions, a subscription. The exact plans, prices and any free-trial or introductory offer are shown on the purchase screen in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm anything. That screen is authoritative.
- One-time purchase: paid once. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
- Subscription: renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel a subscription in the Settings app on your device under your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription covering the same period, where Apple applies that rule.
Payment and refunds
All payments are taken by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue refunds. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and are decided under Apple’s policy. Consumer rights you have under the law of your own country are not affected by this paragraph.
Restoring a purchase
A purchase is tied to the Apple Account that made it. On a new device or after reinstalling, open the purchase screen and tap Restore, or use More → Restore purchase. We are not able to move a purchase between different Apple Accounts.
Sharing a board
The board-sharing feature connects your device directly to nearby devices. It requires the local network and Bluetooth permissions that iOS asks you for. We do not operate a server for it and cannot guarantee that a connection will succeed in any particular room — that depends on your devices and their radios. Do not share a board with people you do not want to see the names on it.
Your responsibility for what you enter
You choose the player names and scores. Keep them lawful and keep them appropriate for whoever can see the screen. Since nothing is uploaded, we cannot moderate, recover or restore anything you enter or delete.
Scores are a record, not a referee
The app helps you keep score. It does not decide games. Rules vary between houses, clubs and countries, and the app’s defaults will not match every table. Check the score before it settles an argument, a bet or a tournament result. We are not responsible for the outcome of any game, wager or competition scored with the app.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, including individual score pads, in later versions. We aim not to break access to games you have already recorded. The app is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Sweden, without effect on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version is posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.
